Mike Hanif is a senior Instructor / Mentor for the Lean SCM Green and Black Belt programs offered by the Leading Edge Group. Mike (CPIM, CQA, LSSMBB, P.Log., ICIA) has a background in Electrical Engineering and Business Management. His academic achievements are from University of London, Ryerson University, Humber College, Division of Executive Development Schulich School of Business of York University, Lean Enterprise Institute and the University of Limerick.
He has worked in several large organizations including Canpar, Purolator and Canadian Tire Corporation. Over the past 30 years he has gained valuable experience in areas of Management of Franchised Stores, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Employee Engagement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Mike has played a significant role in strategic projects at Canadian Tire Supply Chain Division where he led the Lean JIT implementation at the 1.4 million square feet Canadian Tire Brampton Distribution Centre. He is currently the Team Lead, Lean-Toronto Operations. He is a Master, Black Belt Professional in Lean Sigma Management and has led many Lean Sigma implementations in the capacity of a Master Black Belt coaching several Green and Black Belts. He also led numerous Lean Kaizen events within small, medium and large organizations with the involvement of employees to improve processes to create The New Normal™ by establishing Standard Work within organizations.
Mike is the Principal Instructor with The Centre for Nimble Transformations. Nimble Transformations is an Accredited Training Organization (ATO) with the International Institute of Lean Six Sigma Certifications. He is also an Instructor at the School of Continuing Education of Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. He also provides consulting services at local charitable organizations to help with Process Improvements.
