Director of Supply Chain Improvement and Planning at Tim Hortons Incorporated, Tony Soumas joined the Leading Edge Group team in 2010 as a part-time Lean Coach and Mentor supporting students and clients through Lean Green Belt certification and has facilitated numerous webinars and workshops ranging from Lean project selection to Lean strategy deployment/Hoshin planning.
Tony’s Lean implementation experience spans across the supply chain, including new product introduction and field operations. His most recent work includes the development of a Lean Supply Chain strategy where he directed the enablement of Lean through Hoshin planning, value stream management and Kaizen execution for the Tim Hortons supply chain.
Tony has a combined 22 years experience in supply chain management and has held progressive leadership roles in training, call center management, operations planning, development support, logistics, distribution, transportation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Tony earned a CPIM designation for Operations Management from APICS and holds both Lean Green and Black Belts completed through the Leading Edge Group. An avid learner, he is currently pursuing his MBA in Operations Management and Aeronautical Science with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
