NITL

The National Institute for Transport & Logistics (NITL) is supported by the National Development Plan through Enterprise Ireland and is managed by the Department of Transport Engineering at Dublin Institute of Technology. It was founded in order to  create a fundamental resource for logistics and sustainable transport efficiency in Ireland. The NITL provide an increased focus on logistics and sustainable transport and we heighten awareness to logistics and transport issues and aim to stimulate and facilitate improvement in logistics and supply chain quality for small and large businesses throughout all of Ireland. The Institute conduct academic and applied research into aspects of supply chain management and sustainable transport.

The Lean Masters Green Belt Program in Supply Chain Management is a blended solution combining both on-line and classroom delivery.  Participants receive access to a Learning Management System portal from where they can launch each lesson, download resources, take prep exams and interact with fellow participants via a Lean discussion forum. This learning is further enhanced by the delivery of two half-day classroom lectures on supply chain integration, design and reengineering. The program is accredited by the Institute of Industrial Engineers and participants who successfully complete the course are eligible for an exemption from the compulsory introductory module of NITL’s M.Sc. programmes as well as 5 credits at NFQ level 9.
