This IDA grant is designed to encourage IDA Ireland client companies to adopt
Lean business principles to increase performance and competitiveness that will
help sustain and grow their Irish operations.
Lean Start

Key Outcomes:
Cost reduction targets achieved. Lean approach successfully piloted.

Foundation for further Lean or productivity project. Introduction of first steps to green competitiveness.

IDA Lean GBS Business Offer

This IDA grant is designed to encourage IDA Ireland client companies with shared
or global business services to adopt Lean and Automation business principles to
enable site transformation.
Lean GBS Start

Key Outcomes:
Cost reduction targets achieved.

Typically involving 1 Lean or automation pilot project.

Project Cost:
€10,000

IDA Ireland Support: €7,000

Lean GBS Plus

Key Outcomes:
Significant productivity improvement achieved.

Typically the majority of a shared or GBS process is automated (e.g. Order-to-Cash) and a plan put in place to up-skill and redeploy affected roles.

Project Cost:
Up to €60k

IDA Ireland Support: Up to 50% of the cost.

Key Outcomes:

Typically including an automation initiative around lower value processes and a strategy to acquire new higher value responsibilities/mandate and up-skill and redeploy impacted resources.
