Brenda is a seasoned professional in Lean Six Sigma, project management, and change management with 20 years of experience delivering results in complex transformational and process improvement projects for diverse industries. She has effectively coached individuals at all levels of an organization in Lean Six Sigma and managed a Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Centre of Excellence. Brenda has led numerous fast-paced, complex, and transformational projects across various functional groups, including Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, HR, Legal and Operations in different industries.

Key achievements include the following:

  • Utilized Lean Six Sigma as well as design thinking concepts, tools and methodologies on end-to-end processes and led large scale improvement projects with cross-functional teams to identify over $23 million in total opportunities to drive down expenses, improve sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Identified over $7.5 million in cost reduction opportunities from logistics, supply chain, procurement and capital projects. Improved customer service through implementation of new business-critical customer service database and development of dashboards and KPI reports for senior management.
  • Streamlined processes, identified key process improvement measures and enhanced data collection to improve operational performance of teams. Removed process and work inefficiencies. Reduced service lead time by 42% and increased internal customer satisfaction Net Promoter Score (NPS) by 21.
  • Oversaw a business transformational program with the implementation of SAP ERP, operational model and other enabling technologies to improve business operational efficiency, effectiveness and profitability. This implementation impacted 100,000 employees across Canada. Oversaw change management, communication and engagement plan development and execution.
  • Led top organizational strategic priorities to improve service delivery and visibility programs as project manager, Lean Six Sigma practitioner and coach. Utilized kaizen events, process mapping and gap assessment to identify success measures and KPIs. Improved efficiencies and KPIs by 5%-14%. Prioritized list of initiatives to just-do-its, Kaizen events and projects. Developed a 3-year roadmap to improve visibility and service differentiation for the organization based on impact, effort, resource requirements, technology enablement and change impact.
  • Led 24 staff and the operations of five (5) different shared services teams that serviced over 150,000 internal customers. Managed a $3.6 million budget. Directed team’s management of 3rd party vendors and contracts. Developed a 3-year roadmap to improve internal customer experience and process efficiencies.

Qualified at the Black Belt level, Brenda also holds a Bachelor and Master of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering.
