Supply Chain Consultant

Denis supported several US Multinationals set up operations in Ireland over a period of 20 year in the area of supply chain management before commencing work as a Supply Chain Consultant with Leading Edge Group in 1999. Working with companies like Atari, Liebert, Symantec & Lucent Technologies, Denis was instrumental in setting up production and material planning processes and systems and introducing JIT both in-house and with supplier organisations and focused on S.O.P. and optimising inventory management. Denis worked abroad for several years on global projects supporting DPDHL including the centralisation of their European IT datacentre operations in Prague and was a key project team member of their European telecoms optimization project that centralised control in Europe under one single supplier. Denis continued to support this project and worked with Telefonica, the successful bidder to implement and transition/transform all DPDHL European telecoms services over a period of 8 years. Denis presently work as a freelance consultant and project manager based in Cork, providing project management and consulting support to Leading Edge with a particular focus on operational and financial data analysis and development of excel tools to assist organisations in identifying areas of opportunity and assist them in their decision making processes.

Denis graduated as a student of Economics & Engineering Science in Trinity and became one of Irelands earliest members of APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society). He then continued to his studies in Management Accounting (CIMA) and completed his Master in Business (MBA) in Cranfield School of Management. Denis is highly analytical and has now focused his time on Data Analytics and Financial Planning.
