Mark is a senior Lean consultant who has worked with both SMEs and larger global corporations in many business sectors. Mark can work across all levels from the shop floor on tactical level to a more strategic position in the boardroom.
Mark started his “Lean” career over thirty years ago working with the global Lean leaders Toyota in their body shop in Burnaston, Derbyshire before moving on to TMME (Toyota Europe) working with automotive suppliers Europe wide during the time of the banking crash.
Mark not only has driven change in an organisation but for a period of 20 years he lived it with Toyota daily, both an operational tactical level, rising to senior management to support the strategic goals of the organisation.
From Toyota Europe Mark moved into Business improvement consultancy working globally with several consultancies in a diverse range of business sectors that included logistics systems, healthcare, rail, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and Australian mining.
Using Lean/Six Sigma tools and methodologies these projects and initiatives were designed to drive continuous improvement and orchestrate real culture change in an organisation, improving throughput, reducing cost and organisational waste, streamlining the organisation as well as driving real culture change.
Working with senior leaders, middle management, and shopfloor alike and understanding the value stream in an organisation Mark has a proven track record of success.
In 2017 Mark moved to Ireland to take a Directorship with a global pharmaceutical company supporting their own Lean journey and their Learning and Development Dept, so Mark has an extremely strong focus on training and development.
Mark has written many publications, as well as several well reviewed books on the topic of implementing Lean business systems.
