Lean Transformation Consultant - UK

Sean is a highly technical, experienced professional with over 25 years of experience in manufacturing at management level in operational and technical roles.

 

He has an impressive record in leading large-scale transformational projects, factory turnarounds and in designing global Lean programs across different sectors. He has previous experience in Lean consultancy, delivering high value Lean programs in global organizations and focused interventions to improve efficiencies and performance across a number of sectors including construction, pharmaceutical and FMCG.

 

His background includes a three-year technical apprenticeship in the UK Royal Air Force, followed by four years operational service in the maintenance of the UK's air fleet. He has personally worked in the manufacturing industry where he developed his manufacturing and process engineering skills. He also has valuable experience working for a global Japanese tier one automotive company as manufacturing manager, and it is in this role, under the mentorship of a Japanese Sensei that he developed his Lean and manufacturing skills further. Here he managed to turn around the worst performing sections of the company such that they then exceeded target KPl's.  He has also served as engineering manager in tier one automotive manufacturing and was a group Lean expert in a contract manufacturing plastic injection moulding company, where he successfully led the integration of two sites into one of Europe's largest injection moulding facilities. He has also led a team in designing and implementing a Lean program for a client with thirty-five sites globally.

 

Sean also has extensive experience in business transformation, policy/goal deployment, change management, stakeholder engagement & management at all levels, performance measurement, KPI development/accountability/ownership, balanced scorecard, manufacturing process productivity and efficiency improvements, as well as commercial analysis in support of business goals and cost reduction activity, not to mention commercial analysis in support of business goals and cost reduction activity, health and safety (IOSH Managing Safely) factory turnaround, global program design and implementation and transactional (non-manufacturing) Lean implementation.
