The Lean Healthcare Green Belt certification provides a comprehensive view of lean methodologies, tools, and principles and focuses on the application of Lean principles in healthcare organizations.

This program is aimed at health professionals such as Quality Improvement Specialists, Operations Managers, Medical Directors, Nurse Practitioners and Physicians from organizations across the health sector including hospitals, health authorities, mental health and addictions, youth services, long term care, public and community health.

This program can be delivered through self-paced e-Learning or instructor-led (for groups of participants). One-to-one online mentoring support is provided throughout the program.

  • Program/Contact Hours: Approximately 85 hours
  • Completion Timeframe: Up to six (6) months
  • Prerequisites: None
  • Reading List/Textbook: No textbook required. All materials will be provided online, including recommended readings.
  • Assessment and Certification: Assessment is based on completing a multiple-choice exam online (50%) and submission of a work-based improvement project (50%).

Upon successful completion participant will receive Lean Green Belt certification from Leading Edge Group.

Diploma in Project Management

Through Leading Edge Group’s partnership with the Australasian Leadership Academy Pty Ltd (ALA),  students who successfully complete Leading Edge Group’s Lean Green Belt training program can attain a Diploma of Project Management (BSB50820) through ALA’s RTO 41012.

ALA’s Diploma of Project Management is endorsed by the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), offering pathways towards PM Industry Certification (RegPM CPPP & CPPM) and International Project Management Association (IPMA).

The Lean Healthcare Green Belt program consists of four learning blocks, each comprising a series of courses. Participants receive continuous one-on-one online mentoring support throughout the program. Assessment is conducted through an online multiple-choice exam (50%) and the submission of a work-based improvement project (50%).
